Food delivery order analysis
I analyzed orders for FoodHub, a food delivery service in this case study, and turned the findings into business recommendations and a presentation.
The problem
FoodHub wanted to understand demand, delivery performance, and customer ratings so that it could improve the customer experience.
The approach
I explored the order data with statistics and charts, looking at cost, cuisine, ratings, and delivery time. I then presented the conclusions for a business audience.
The result
- 29% of orders cost more than $20, and 10.5% took more than 60 minutes to complete.
- Weekend orders were more common and arrived faster than weekday orders.
- Low ratings were largely missing from the data, so I recommended prompting customers to rate poor experiences too.
- I also recommended adding drivers to shorten delivery times, and making restaurant promotions less uniform so that less popular restaurants could benefit.
